Rokkit may collect information about you in relation to your access and use of our website www.rokkit.io and www.rokkit.live, (the “Websites”), our management and registration applications and mobile applications (the “Applications”) and email communications with you (such as customer support requests, polls and surveys) in which you may provide personal data to Rokkit.

 

In this Privacy Policy, the Website, the Platform, Applications, emails, and other electronic locations, through which you may interact with Rokkit to provide your information, are collectively referred to as the “Platform.”

 

“You” refers to individuals who access and use the Platform in a personal capacity or as a representative of a company for which they are engaged in a professional capacity.

Rokkit will not share your data with a third-party service provider without your express permission.

Rokkit provides a platform that you can access to register for and attend live online events and on-demand viewing of online events. In using the platform you may choose to interact with third parties in the form of other attendees, partners, sponsors and event organisers. We do not participate in any service or contract for services that you choose to enter into with a third party via the platform, and you accept all responsibility in determining that any services you choose to make use of are suitable for you and legally permissible.

Rokkit will regularly review our privacy policy. Updates to our privacy policy will be published on the platform and an archive of any previous versions of the privacy policy will be held by us for review.

Personal Information is any information collected on or through our platform that may be used to identify, personally contact you or make recommendations about how to best use the platform.

Identity Data including our name, username, password, email address, location, company name and job role.

Communications and Marketing Data includes your preferences related to receiving communication from us about the platform, and your preferences related to receiving marketing from us and third party platform partners or sponsors.

When you use the platform we automatically collect electronic information about you including:

Usage data which includes information related to your use of the platform, such as the time, duration, frequency and usage behaviour

Technical data which includes your internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, hardware information, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and other technology on the devices you use to access the Rokkit platform.

Transactional data which includes information about orders you have made and products or services you have accessed via the platform. Please note that we not collect and store credit or debit card data on our platform. Any payments made for our services are collected by [name of third party such as Stripe] on their secure payments server. All card details are encrypted and securely stored by [name of third party such as Stripe]

Aggregated data which does not reveal your personal identity, such as demographic or statistical data about your use of the platform, which can be shared as anonymised information with a third party and is not considered by law as personal data.

 

Where we are required by law or under the terms of an agreement we have with you to collect personal data, and you fail to provide it, we may not be able to perform an agreement or offer access to our platform or services.

  • to which we choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or assets. Should a change in ownership to our business occur, the new owners may use your information in the same manner as set out in this privacy policy
  • to a provider of a cloud hosting service
  • to a provider of payment transaction management, such as Stripe
  • to professional advisors acting as processors or joint controllers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers based in the United Kingdom who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services
  • to regulators and other authorities acting as processors or joint controllers based in the United Kingdom who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances
  • to a company acting as a processor in providing software and system administration services
  • to third-party partners and affiliates who you engage with through the use of the platform in order to aid the provision of services.

 

When you engage with a third party through your use of the platform, you may choose to provide personal information to them. We ask all third parties to treat your information with respect and in accordance with the law. Third party providers are only permitted by us to use your personal information for their own purposes when they have received your express consent. When you choose to disclose personal information to third parties we suggest you ask questions or review their own privacy policy before doing so, as different rules may apply to their use or sharing of the information you provide them. This privacy policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you.

 

We may use aggregated data so that we can improve and tailor our platform and services, monitor and make improvements, collect demographic information, analyse user behaviour and detect suspicious or fraudulent transactions. In doing so some information in aggregated and anonymised format may be passed to third parties.

Rokkit is based within the European Economic Area (EEA). In the performance of services with you we may need to transfer your personal information outside of the EEA. When we do so, an appropriate degree of protection will ensured by having at least one of the following safeguards in place:

  • only transferring your personal information to countries deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission.
  • using contracts approved by the European Commission that give personal data the same protection it has in Europe when using certain service providers
  • only transferring information to providers based in the US under the scope of a Data Processing Agreement incorporating Standard Contractual clauses or Binding Corporate rules that require them to provide similar protection to personal data shared between Europe and the US.

It is a priority of Rokkit to safeguard the security and privacy of your personal information. We have implemented appropriate security measures prevent unauthorised access to our systems in order to prevent personal information being lost, stolen, altered, disclosed or accessed in an unauthorised manner. Access to your personal information is limited to employees, contractors, agents or third parties with a business need. They are subject to a duty of confidentiality and are only permitted to process your data on our instructions. Whilst we take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transfer storage guarantees complete protection or is 100% secure, and there is always some risk when you share your personal information online. We will inform you and all applicable regulators of any breaches to personal information where legally required to do so.
