Rokkit may collect information about you in relation to your access and use of our website and, (the “Websites”), our management and registration applications and mobile applications (the “Applications”) and email communications with you (such as customer support requests, polls and surveys) in which you may provide personal data to Rokkit.


In this Privacy Policy, the Website, the Platform, Applications, emails, and other electronic locations, through which you may interact with Rokkit to provide your information, are collectively referred to as the “Platform.”


“You” refers to individuals who access and use the Platform in a personal capacity or as a representative of a company for which they are engaged in a professional capacity.

You are able to review and change the information we hold about you at any point by accessing the updating the profile section of the platform. By updating your profile information you will help us to provide you with the most relevant services via the platform.

The platform will contain links to third party websites, applications, content and services. By clicking on a link to a third party website, application, content or service you may allow those third parties to collect, store or share data about you.

We are not responsible for the privacy statements of any third party, or the way in which they collect or use your data.

Should you access a third party via the platform, you are advised to read the privacy policy of that party.

Rokkit will not share your data with a third-party service provider without your express permission.

Rokkit provides a platform that you can access to register for and attend live online events and on-demand viewing of online events. In using the platform you may choose to interact with third parties in the form of other attendees, partners, sponsors and event organisers. We do not participate in any service or contract for services that you choose to enter into with a third party via the platform, and you accept all responsibility in determining that any services you choose to make use of are suitable for you and legally permissible.

Rokkit will regularly review our privacy policy. Updates to our privacy policy will be published on the platform and an archive of any previous versions of the privacy policy will be held by us for review.



  1. The information we collect about you


Personal Information is any information collected on or through our platform that may be used to identify, personally contact you or make recommendations about how to best use the platform.


  • Information provided by you

We collect information that you provide to us directly, for instance when you create an account, communicate with us, complete a form, update your profile information or update your preferences. This information includes:


Identity Data including our name, username, password, email address, location, company name and job role.

Contact data including email address, location and telephone number.

Profile data includes your username, password, service preferences, interests, survey & poll responses and order or purchase history.

Communications and Marketing Data includes your preferences related to receiving communication from us about the platform, and your preferences related to receiving marketing from us and third party platform partners or sponsors.


2.2 Information we collect through your use of the platform

When you use the platform we automatically collect electronic information about you including:

Usage data which includes information related to your use of the platform, such as the time, duration, frequency and usage behaviour

Technical data which includes your internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, hardware information, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and other technology on the devices you use to access the Rokkit platform.

Transactional data which includes information about orders you have made and products or services you have accessed via the platform. Please note that we not collect and store credit or debit card data on our platform. Any payments made for our services are collected by [name of third party such as Stripe] on their secure payments server. All card details are encrypted and securely stored by [name of third party such as Stripe]

Aggregated data which does not reveal your personal identity, such as demographic or statistical data about your use of the platform, which can be shared as anonymised information with a third party and is not considered by law as personal data.


Where we are required by law or under the terms of an agreement we have with you to collect personal data, and you fail to provide it, we may not be able to perform an agreement or offer access to our platform or services.

When you interact with us, for instance by email, by filling in forms, by registering or updating an account or subscription on our platform, by requesting marketing from us, by entering a promotion or survey or by providing us feedback, we directly collect information from you. This includes information such as Identity, Contact, Profile and Communications and Marketing data.


We also collect information through automated technologies or interactions, for instance we collect Technical, Usage, Transactional and Aggregated data when you use the Rokkit platform. This information may be collected through the use of server logs, cookies and other technologies.

If you choose to opt-out of receiving marketing communications from us we may still send you important non-promotional messages, such as those about your account or our ongoing contract for services.


You can choose to disable or refuse some browser cookies. Please note that doing so may result in elements of our platform not functional correctly or becoming inaccessible.


Your information will be used for the purposes for which we collected it, as outlined in this privacy policy. If we consider that we need to use it for another purpose that is compatible with the original purpose, we may do so, and you will be able to receive an explanation for the revised or new purpose by contacting us.  If we wish to use your information for any purpose unrelated to the original purposes we will notify you and explain the lawful basis which permits this use.


Where required by law, we may process your information without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with the rules outlined above.

Rokkit may share your personal information for the purposes set out in section 4, with a third party as follows:

  • to which we choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or assets. Should a change in ownership to our business occur, the new owners may use your information in the same manner as set out in this privacy policy
  • to a provider of a cloud hosting service
  • to a provider of payment transaction management, such as Stripe
  • to professional advisors acting as processors or joint controllers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers based in the United Kingdom who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services
  • to regulators and other authorities acting as processors or joint controllers based in the United Kingdom who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances
  • to a company acting as a processor in providing software and system administration services
  • to third-party partners and affiliates who you engage with through the use of the platform in order to aid the provision of services.


When you engage with a third party through your use of the platform, you may choose to provide personal information to them. We ask all third parties to treat your information with respect and in accordance with the law. Third party providers are only permitted by us to use your personal information for their own purposes when they have received your express consent. When you choose to disclose personal information to third parties we suggest you ask questions or review their own privacy policy before doing so, as different rules may apply to their use or sharing of the information you provide them. This privacy policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you.


We may use aggregated data so that we can improve and tailor our platform and services, monitor and make improvements, collect demographic information, analyse user behaviour and detect suspicious or fraudulent transactions. In doing so some information in aggregated and anonymised format may be passed to third parties.



  1. Where we store and process personal information


Rokkit is based within the European Economic Area (EEA). In the performance of services with you we may need to transfer your personal information outside of the EEA. When we do so, an appropriate degree of protection will ensured by having at least one of the following safeguards in place:

  • only transferring your personal information to countries deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission.
  • using contracts approved by the European Commission that give personal data the same protection it has in Europe when using certain service providers
  • only transferring information to providers based in the US under the scope of a Data Processing Agreement incorporating Standard Contractual clauses or Binding Corporate rules that require them to provide similar protection to personal data shared between Europe and the US.

It is a priority of Rokkit to safeguard the security and privacy of your personal information. We have implemented appropriate security measures prevent unauthorised access to our systems in order to prevent personal information being lost, stolen, altered, disclosed or accessed in an unauthorised manner. Access to your personal information is limited to employees, contractors, agents or third parties with a business need. They are subject to a duty of confidentiality and are only permitted to process your data on our instructions. Whilst we take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transfer storage guarantees complete protection or is 100% secure, and there is always some risk when you share your personal information online. We will inform you and all applicable regulators of any breaches to personal information where legally required to do so.

In certain circumstances we may anonymise your information, meaning that it can no longer be associated with you personally, and use it for research purposes in which case the information may remain with us indefinitely and without further notice to you.

Your legal rights, as detailed below, provide you the opportunity in some circumstance to request that we delete your data.
